Just Playing Around

I have been having a good time playing with some new supplies that I got.  The friday challenge from Max was a good start and then I just kept going.  I am excited to see that challenge get up and running and plan on me doing that each week.

The card I am showing you today is fairly simple and was really fast to make.  It shows off two of the new In Colors: Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit.  Using the Mixed Bunch stamp set for the flower and the Distressed Dots background stamp it came together quite well.

The new firm foam ink pads are amazing for background stamps.  They ink up so nicely now.  I was hesitant to purchase the big stamps with the old pads because it was so hard to ink a huge stamp like that.  If you have ever used VersaMark Ink before....the new pads are just like that! Kind of sticky and puts ink on the stamp in a smooth motion rather than having to tap tap tap all the time in the same place for consistent coverage.  Plus, the new Stampin' Scrub makes it easier than ever to clean the large stamps too.  :)

I used a little bit of Sticky Strip behind the ribbon to make it stay in place on the card.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  To get the depth on the flower I curled the petals of the bottom flower down using my bone folder and the petals of the top flower up also using my bone folder.

All products are available in my online store 24/7 and you will get the best deal possible by going directly to my website or contacting me to place your order directly.  Either way works great!

SttM Friday Challenge

Today I am showing you the card I made for the Stamp to the Max Friday Challenge.  You can find all the entries for the challenge on Max's blog on Mondays.  Seeing as it is Monday and not Friday....yes, I am late.  ;)

Every Friday Max will post a picture on her blog for us to get some inspiration off of.  The minute I saw this picture of the lovely jello triffle I thought of the Make a Cake stamp set.  I have had it for a little bit now, but haven't pulled it out to use it yet.  This was the perfect excuse!

The layers in the triffle were just calling me to make a layered cake.  I paired the stamp set with the Patio Party DSP and coordinating colors for this little gem.  I am really liking the new In Color Stitched ribbon.  It is easy to tie and that makes me happy.

All the supplies can be purchased in my online store 24/7.  To save money you can join my team for $99.  You get to choose $125 worth of great Stampin' Up! goodies, get a business bundle on top of that, and through the end of June you can get an extra $45 in Patio Party Bundle goodies too!  All of that with Free Shipping. Let me know if you have questions.

Season Frame Art Kit

Today's project is one that I have had in my head for months and I finally got my hands on the Season of Friendship stamp set to make it.  Unfortunately, the stamp set is retired, but you can still get the kit to have a wonderful piece of art work in you home that people will comment on every time they come.  I can say that because I have one hanging in my front room and people always comment on how beautiful it is.

The kit comes finished and all you have to do is put it in a frame.  Its a standard frame that I picked up from a local craft and frame shop.  I paid less than $10 for mine.  I am sure you could get one on sale for even less.  I can't ship these frames since they are an awkward size for a box.

The kit is $8 with $2 shipping and is ready to go.  You can pay with Paypal via the link and I will get it right out to you.  Don't miss out on a chance to have this great piece in your home today!

Stamp to the MAX Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp to the MAX Blog Hop.  I hope that you are inspired by the new products that we are all showing you.  You probably just came from Max's blog.  I am stop #2 for the hop.

I am so excited for the new Stampin' Up! Catalog!  I can hardly contain myself.  This blog hop is designed to showcase some of the great new things that you can get in the catalog starting TODAY!

I have a trio of card to show you using the Patio Party DSP.  I love the color combination for this paper.  It uses 3 of the new In Colors which are Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, and Primrose petals, and combines them with one of my all time favorite colors Baja Breeze.  The nuetral tone in this DSP is Whisper White.

The first card uses one of my favorite sheets with a small butterfly print on it.  Add the popular Beautiful Wings embosslit and you have a winner!  The scallop on the bottom of the DSP is the Scallop Edge Border Punch.

Next up you have a great card with Midnight muse as the base and Summer Starfruit with the Scallop Edge Border Punch again.  The DSP is a sheet with fun banners all across it.  You might notice some new Whisper White stitched ribbon.  It is MUCH easier to tie than the regular grosgrain ribbon that retired from the last catalog.  You will also notice a new stamp set and framelits to go with it.  The sentiment is from a cute new set called Itty Bitty Banners and has a set of framelits to cut them out for you called Bitty Banners of course!

Last, but not least, is a card using the colors of the DSP.  Notice how nicely the In Colors coordinate with Baja Breeze?  Love it!  I used the ric rac portion of the Tasteful Trim Die.  The flower is made by punching 2 Whisper White flowers using the Blossom Punch that carried over from the last mini catalog!  WOO HOO, since that was one of my favorites. Then layered a piece of DSP over a Summer Starfruit circle for the center.  To give it some depth, I sniped each petal of the flowers a couple times and ruffled them.

There, didn't you just love that introduction to the Patio Party Suite?  Now you are off to hop on over to stop #3 which is Kim.  She always out does all of us, so I am sure you will be delighted.  Thanks for stopping by and remember that all supplies are available via my online store HERE

If you would like to join my team and get an extra $50 in bonus goodies this month only, let me know!  I can help you out with that.  You get to pick $125 worth of stamping goodies, you also get a $65 bundle of business supplies if you want to make some money, you get to be a part of the most awesome team every, AND an extra $50 in Patio Party goodies!
