Wonderfall Cafe

I was very sad last year when Stampin' Up! announced they were retiring the Leaves Die from their collection.  I used it a lot last year and I felt like they didn't have a good replacement for it....UNTIL NOW! I just had to wait until the Holiday Catalog to see it.  I actually like the Autumn Accents Die better than the other one because the leaves look more natual on this one.  Plus, who doesn't love a die that has a matching stamp set?

Wonderfall is a great fall stamp set and can be used for lots of things.  Here is the trick to getting them to work together.  Use the die and cut your cardstock FIRST.  Then, ink up your stamp and lay the leaf over the top of the inked up stamp and gently push down.  Lift up the paper from the stamp and voila! A perfectly stamped and die cut leaf.

I added my leaves with some Comort Cafe DSP.  They aren't traditional fall colors for the most part, but I really like them.

You can order any of the products you see on this sample on my website or give me a call and I can place an order for you.  Don't forget that this month if you order the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set along with Candlelight Christmas DSP you get a Festive Piercing Pack for free!  Check out the details on my website or in the post I did about it earlier.

Chevron Blossoms

I made this card a while ago and I just love it.  I have yet to send it out because I just can't bear to part with it yet.  Its just one of those cards that makes you smile.  :)  I know, I should pass on that great feeling to someone else.

It is quick and simple.  The colors are bright and fun and although it is fall right now...I still like the bright colors.  I did make the card while it was sunny and warm, so give me a break.

It is simply Whisper White cardstock for the base, Daffodil Delight with the Chevron Embossing Folder, and the Polka Dot Parade DSP in Real Red with the Blossom Punch.  Tie some of the Gumball Gree stitched ribbon around and voila!  A perfect card.  The sentiment is from teeny tiny wishes and can be substituted for anything you like.

Happy Thanksgiving

I had a few minutes to myself this afternoon and I decided to make a quick Thanksgiving card to send off to my mom and sister (they are spending the holiday together in California at my sister's house).

The Gently Falling stamp set is in the Holiday mini. I used More Mustard, Pool Party, Soft Suede, and Early Expresso for the ink colors and with the Very Vanilla paper it gives it a nice warm touch. The scallop trim is from the Tastful Trim Die and the embossed portion is the Stripes Embossing Folder.

Hope you all enjoy the card that popped into my head today. I sure enjoyed making it. Now...off to the mail box it goes!

Christmas Time is Coming Fast!

I really have to show you guys this awesome Advent Calendar that I made up. The idea to do an advent on a muffin tin is nothing new, but I guarantee you will NOT find anything like this out there.
It is a labor of love...takes tons of time and effort...but so worth it! I am so proud of it. I made the first one and took it to my upline, Max, to show it off and she loved it so much I ended up making her one too. Then, this great idea came (thank you mom!) to make one for my sister for Christmas too. So, this is the 3rd one that I have done in the last week or so.

If uses lots of punches, The Big Shot, lots of various dies, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP from the mini catalog right now, and some very fun stamps...ie the new 25 & Counting from the mini catalog that just screams "make and advent out of me!" So I did. :)

Hope you guys like it. If you need Christmas cards, Holiday cards, birthday, thank yous, or any other type of greeting or specialty item...shoot me an email and I will see what we can work out.

A Slice of Life

I think this hostess set from the Occasions Mini is super cute. It might seem like a bunch of random stamps, but they are beautiful! It really is a slice of everything you might need to send a card for. I used the beautiful flower and vase stamp to make this card. I didn't stamp a sentiment on it since it could be used for a variety of things and I don't have anything in particular right this second I needed it for. I just really liked it. I might also mention that I LOVE the seam binding that we carry. I waited so long to get it since I didn't know quite what it was....I would buy that over ANY other ribbon in the collection right now. I am really hoping that it makes the new catalog in July because I got a peek at the new Summer Mini and it is NOT in there! Fingers crossed that it is in the main catalog for the new year. I can't live without that stuff now! It is so easy to work with and doesn't create a lot of bulk when mailing...gotta save that extra $0.20 somewhere right? It comes in a variety of colors and I am in heaven. :) You can get hostess set featured here by placing an order of $150 or hosting a workshop that is over $150...plus you get other benefits on top of the cute stamp set.

Build a Cupcake Birthday

I made a few birthday cards yesterday for my sisters that have birthdays this month. I have to admit that I didn't come up with the layout or the general idea. I "stole" it from Becky Roberts, who admits that she got it from another demo. I just thought it was clean, simple, and super cute. The scallop square is the larger of the squares in the Scallop Square Duo Die. The cupcake of course if made with the Build a Cupcake Punch...who can live without that thing!?! Items used: Stamps: Something to Celebrate Cardstock: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Brights DSP Stack Ink: Melon Mambo Accessories: Pearls, Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Build a Cupcake Punch, Big Shot, Scallop Square Duo Die, and snail Don't forget the Spring is Blossoming Promotion that is going on right now. You can get your hands on great products from the new catalog 3 months early! Ask me how. I will post more later about it too.

Fun Flowers Die

Sorry about being MIA for awhile. I probably should have mentioned before I left, but I went to Thailand for 8 days and was in Salt Lake City for a few days before that with family. But... I am back! I haven't actually created anything today, but I do have a card to share anyway. I have been playing catch up on laundry and cleaning.
I made this card using the Fun Flowers Die for the Big Shot. I LOVE this die. I was hesitant to get it at first, but I am really thinking it is awesome. I used Melon Mambo cardstock for the flower and ran it through the Big Shot and then took each peice of the flower and put them in different embossing folders to create some texture. Top it off with a cute Big Button in Daffodil Delight and whala! Super cute flower perfect for a card.

This is the LAST WEEK for Sale-a-bration, so make sure you get your orders to me no later than the 31st by dinner time or order online until 11:55pm MST at the StampinMartha website store. This is your last week to get free stuff that is exclusive to Sale-a-bration. Those cute stamps and papers are not available in any of the regular catalogs. HURRY!!!

Clean and Simple

I am trying to use some things that I haven't used in a while...why I have I not used these fabulours products in a while?? Who Knows! The following cards are really simple and use a great stamp set that came in my starter kit a year ago that I really like. The trio of flowers is all one stamp and comes from the set Eastern Blooms. I like it because the flowers are different from other fake flower sets (which have lost of daisies and such) and it has a variety.

Clean and simple with an accent color....my fav! I did one in Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Rich Razzleberry. I am going to make a ton more since I just got some new ink pads in my birthday order! How convenient that it arrived on my birthday too right??
The sentiment is a Thank You from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and can be changed to any sentiment you want, birthday, anniversary, congrats, baby, and more. The card can be used for so much by changing out the colors and sentiment.

Sale-a-bration is still going on, but it ends this month! If you want your FREE stuff you better place your order, book your workshop, and sign up as a demo by the end of the month! Ask me for details ASAP!!

Poppy Parade

Let me just start by apologizing for the pictures. I got a new phone/camera and I haven't quite mastered the art of using it yet. :)

The cards in this post are all ones made using only Poppy Parade and Whisper White. I like a clean and simple look, as you may have noticed by now, so using only one or two colors is an easy way to get that. The patterned paper is the Hostess Level 1 In Color set. I haven't really used it and I figure I should...so here it goes!
The stamps that you see come from the Punch Bunch Sale-a-bration set and it could be your absolutely FREE by placing a $50 order. It is just one of many options for your FREE set, but you only have until the end of March! So hurry!
Ask me how to get FREE stamps and more right now!

More Halloween Fun!

I got a note form Dillan's preschool last week saying that they were having a Halloween party on the 29th and that each child was asked to bring 36 treats to share with all the other kids/classes at the school. I decided that it was a good opportunity to use the Candy Wrapper Die that is in the Holiday Mini Catalog.

It uses the regular size cutting pads and a Big Shot. I think it is sooo cute! I have only made 18 of the 36 needed for Friday's party, but that was just one sitting. The creases are done to perfection (especially if you use the crease pad). It is a tad time consuming if you are doing lots of them because you have to bend all the creases in the right direction (it is way easier than it sounds...just takes a bit of time). But look how awesome they turn out! I used the bats from the Wicked Cool halloween stamp set to stamp the outside of the wrapper and I think it turned out great. I didn't want to do too much since 3 and 4 year olds are just going to rip into them to find what is inside. But in Dillan's opinion, "Oooh! They are so pretty!" He is excited to take them to school next week.

Happy Stamping, and Die Cutting!

The surprise treat to the Wicked Cool Class

Now that all the people that completed the class and finished their projects I thought I would share the surprise treat I told you about in the first post of samples for the class. Please note that the bag of candy inside was overflowing with goodness....until my 3 year old, Dillan, got ahold of it and decided that it looked tasty....because it does!
I love the Fancy Favor Die. It is so freakn' versatile. It can literally be used for any and every event and decorated differently to suit the needs of what is going on. Plus, I think it is fun to fill it with goodies. Halloween after all is all about the candy right??? The paper is Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, and Old Olive. Add a little Black Satin ribbon and wah lah! Halloween goodness!
The following are the other 4 projects that we did during the class. Hope you like them, they are the samples I posted last week. There is still room in my Halloween Scrap class. If you are interested, let me know. I need to know by Saturday morning.
If you want to join us for the next class...comment and let me know! I will get you signed up in a jiffy.

Wicked Cool Halloween Class

Mark the date on your calendars people! The Wicked Cool Stamp Class is Wednesday September 22nd. Here are 4 cards that we will be making at class, and then there is one more special surprise to go with them. he he he
We are using the stamp set Wicked Cool. It is the most versatile halloween set because you can do fun and light, or dark and dreary. I really have come to love it making these cards.

We will also be using the Spider Web Embossing Folder and the new Bat Punch too! The new Halloween DSP from the catalog is also in the mix.
Registration for the class is $18 if you want clear mount stamps, or $22 if you want wood mount stamps. Your registration pays for your stamp set...which means you get to take it home with you when you finish your cards. I provide everything you need...ink, paper, punches, embossing folder, embellishments, and ideas. You just have to have your registration to me by Friday the 18th so that your stamps will be here in time for class.
We are meeting at my house at 7:30pm on the 22nd. If you want to make the cards and can't make it to class, thats okay! Just get me your registration by Friday still and I will get your stamps and you can either come here to do your cards whenever works for you, or you can take it home and make them yourself.

Great Deal on the Big Shot

Have you had the Big Shot on your wish list for months...maybe even years now? This awesome machine is so versatile! You wouldn't believe the things it can do. Let me list a few to share...keeping in mind that this isn't all it can do, just some.

1. Produces beautiful die cuts to use in scrapbooking, greeting cards, or in craft projects.
2. Cuts fabric for quilting (believe me, this saves so much time rather than cutting each peice by hand for a quilt).
3. Dry Embosses paper for an elegant look to cards, scrapbooks, invitations, and more.
4. Create your own "paper doll" fridge magnets for your kids.
5. It will cut cardstock, paper, magnet sheets, cork, fabric, denim, leather, aluminum, tin, beeswax, foam, rubber, batting, fleece, vinyl, and the list goes on!

Think of the wonderful things you could do with a big shot and a few dies. Well, here is your chance to get started and get a Big Shot at in an awesome deal!

Order your Big Shot from me between now and August 14th and I will give you a FREE Die or Embossing Folder of your choice up to $21.95. All you have to do is mention this deal when you place your order with me. Call me at 435.752.1799 to place your order, or send me an email at stampinmartha@hotmail.com. If you have questions or want a tutorial on how the Big Shot works...let me know! That is what I am here for.

Happy Die Cutting!
