Kind Thanks

This is another one of the samples from the 2012 Leadership Retreat with Stampin' Up!  I am happy to say that all but the Blushing Bride card base and the sentiment is sticking around for at least another year.  :)

Blushing Bride was never one of my favorite pinks, but it coordinates with the Twitterpated DSP and so I used some of my stash with that.  Sadly, I am not hurt to see it retire this year.  I am sad that Pear Pizzazz is retiring....and that was part of the same In Color group as this pink.

This card uses some of the Tea Stain ink spot to make it a little more vintage on the edges.  Plus, I curled the edges so that it looked like the DSP was coming away from the card base like vintage photos do.

Don't forget to make an easy banner end using one of the square punches.  The pennants are made from the Pennant Builder Punch.  Add some Baker's Twine in Lucky Limeade and a few staples from your average stapler and whalah!  Perfect card right?

Mixed Bunch Leadership Sample

The card you see today is another Leadership sample that I created from Max's bag of goodies.  There is A LOT going on with this card, but I really like the way it turned out.

It uses Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, and Rich Razzleberry.  The stamp set is Mixed Bunch and the matching Blossom Punch.  You can figure out the layers on your own...the problem is that the Rich Razzleberry and Poppy Parade flowers are from the same Blossom Builder Kit that is now retired.  I should have shown these samples last month!  lol  So improvise if you are trying to recreate this card.  The big label at the back is the shape of one of the labels from the chipboard medley kit.  I really wish they had that as a single die.  You have to trace around the chipboard and then cut it out.

I am not going to list a bunch of supplies like normal because some of them are retired or retiring and already sold out.  So use this card as a layout card to recreate from.  :)

Summer Smooches Birthday

This card is one that I made and gave to my cute downline for her birthday.  I am in love with the new Summer Smooches DSP.  The promotion in April allowed me to get some before the debut in the new catalog for June.  So, have no fear, you can get this paper when the new catalog starts June 1st.

I think the reason I like the paper so much is that it is bright and fun.  It does well for both male and female.  The flowers are made with the Mixed Bunches stamp set and the Blossom Punch.  I like the idea of a clean card and using Whisper White as a base, but it looks a littel too plain sometimes.  So, I added a second sheet of Whisper White with some dimensionals for some added effect.

All supplies for this card can be purchased on my website here. You can order everything except the paper now.  The paper will be available again June 1st.

Supplies Used:
  • Stamps: Friendly Phrases (clear #126151, wood #126149), Mixed Bunches (clear #125537, wood #125535)
  • Paper: Summer Smooches DSP, Whisper White (#100730), Daffodil Delight (#119683), Lucky Limeade (#122926)
  • Ink: Real Red (#103133), Daffodil Delight (#119667)
  • Accessories: In Color Brads (#122940), Island Indigo Baker's Twine (#125575)
  • Tools: Blossom Punch (#125603), Bird Builder Punch (#117191), 1" Circle Punch (#119868)

Mixed Bunch Loveliness

I have been working on some samples from the Stampin' Up! Leadership retreat for my upline Max.  She had that opportunity to go, but hasn't been able to get to her make and take bag yet.  Thats okay with me!  That means that I get to do them and enjoy the time crafting...and we both reap the rewards from it.  :)

This card is made with the Mixed Bunches stamp set that was in the Occasion Mini Catalog this year.  Lucky for us....it is carrying over to the new catalog that will release on June 1st.  BUT, you can still order the stamp set and matching punch now before that catalog goes live.  Woo Hoo!

I love the bright colors and fun-ness of this card.  The original design had a little rectangular sentiment on it that said Thank You.  I didn't put it on there because I feel like this card could be used for a whole lot more and you can always add a sentiment right before you send it to fit your occasion.

The cute little ric rac peice was made using the Scallop Edge Punch.  I punched a peice out and then flipped the peice over to punch the other side off setting the scallops.  Cute right?!  The flower is also the Blossom Punch that matches the set and I just took some snips and cut into each petal to give it more flair.  The top flower with the yellow on it is, sadly, not available anymore but you could use another flower punch to get the same effect.

All supplies can be purchased via my online store at Here.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Mixed Bunch (Clear #125537, Wood #125535)
Ink: Daffodil Delight (#119667), Poppy Parade (#119782), Wild Wasabi (#109014)
Paper: Daffodil Delight (#119683), Poppy Parade (sold out and retired), Whisper White (#100730), Wild Wasabi (#124303)
Accessories: Blossom Builders Kit (retired)
Tools: Scallop Edge Punch (#119882), Blossom Punch (#125603), Paper Snips (#103579), SNAIL (#104332), Dimensionals (#104430)

"Family" Frame Art Kit

Sorry it has been a couple weeks you guys.  I was on a fabulous vacation with my family.  The hubby had a business trip and the little guy and I decided to tag along since it was in sunny (party cloudy while we were there) California.  While he had to conduct some training for work in Ontario, the little man and I went to stay with my sister and her family for 10 days.  We did get some family time with hubby at the begining and end though.  Disneyland, the beach, shopping, and a visit to Las Vegas both coming and going was great for us.

On to my project though...

You are going to love this! It is patterned after one that my upline/friend Max did.  I changed the paper and colors to fit more of my style.  I have kits ready to go for this project and you can purchase them via the Paypal link in this post.  The kit comes ready to assemble for $25 for the kit portion only, or $35 if you want me to include the same shadow box frame.  The shipping is only $3 which covers the supplies I have to purchase to wrap and ship them.

I used the Mocha Morning DSP from Stampin' Up! and the beautiful accent colors you see are Pear Pizzazz and Baja Breeze with some Very Vanilla mixed in.  I am loving the mixture of colors.

I picked up this shadow box frame at a local craft store and it is perfect.  You will not be able to get the kit under a regular frame unless you pull the glass out.  It really does have that much texture and dimension to it.  But the shadow box is awesome!

Options

The kits are while supplies last and I will update this post when they are gone.  So hurry and get to clicking on the button to pay!
